Sam Landreth

I’m a wedding & editorial photographer based out of Portland, Oregon — I feel the most alive when I’m exploring all that the world has to offer, but nowhere’s better to come home to than the Pacific Northwest.

Photography first called out to me in elementary school during a class project that consisted of learning a new art form — I happened to choose photography. From there, I grew in knowledge & skill until I made the decision to launch into my photography career after school.

My mission’s always been to create emotional, timeless photographs that form a visual bookmark for the lives of clients-turned-friends.

I live for cliffside sunsets, sneaking away from the reception for photos amidst a wedding day, windswept hair & personal details intertwined into sessions that truly represent my couples & clients. Ultimately, I’m here to capture your essence & tell your story: the most gratifying part of what I do is allowing for my subjects to feel radiant, empowered & represented.

I would absolutely love to get to know you & talk about your vision. Reach out below & we’ll get to the details.

Let’s create something wonderful together!

A little bit more —

I grew up in a small town in Ohio & my parents instilled a love for traveling in me right off the bat. Grateful for their motivation to get the kids in the car & out to a new place.

I’ve visited 36 states in my lifetime — Utah, Washington, California & Oregon are my favorites (it’s all in the nature, coffee, food, wine, views & folks in each of these places that make them feel like home.)

In the last few years, I’ve traveled to 15 different countries. Cuba was an experience unlike any other, Greece graced the skies with the most extravagant sunsets I think I’ll ever see, & Thailand’s coffee scene & culture blew me away. I traveled alone to Paris the week after meeting my fiancé & he asked me to marry him there, two years later — Paris will always have my heart.

My favorite road trip consisted of a journey that began in Portland, stopping all throughout California (San Francisco, Big Sur, Joshua Tree, Palm Springs, Salvation Mountain) & through the Arizona Desert, canyons & valleys of Utah, ending back in Oregon two weeks later.

My bucket list road trip is to drive the East Coast — during the fall I’d love to start up in Maine & drive down the coast, ending in the Carolinas.
